CELPIP WRITING AI FEEDBACK GUIDE

CELPIP Writing AI Score Still at 8? What to Check

AI feedback is a practice signal, not an official or predicted CELPIP level. If another estimate keeps saying 8, stop comparing numbers for one session and check whether the same visible problem survives across a fresh Task 1 email and Task 2 survey response.

The useful questionWhat changed in the next response—not what number appeared again?

01

Official Writing scoring is not one independent AI estimate

The official CELPIP teacher guide says that at least 4 Writing raters, and up to 6, are involved in determining a test taker's Writing Level. They work with four performance categories: Content/Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability, and Task Fulfillment. Read the current wording in the official CELPIP Guidebook for Teachers.

02

Use AI for visible evidence, not invisible certainty

1

Useful practice evidence

Missing prompt points, repeated wording, overloaded sentences, weak paragraph boundaries, and unclear transitions can be pointed to in the text and checked again.

2

Weak practice evidence

A bare level number, an unexplained score jump, or a polished rewrite that hides what changed does not give you a controlled target for the next prompt.

3

Not evidence at all

No independent tool can inspect your recalled test-day response, guarantee a future result, or replace the official re-evaluation route.

03

Run one two-task transfer check before collecting more scores

1

Write Task 1 fresh

Use an original email prompt, normal timing, and 150–200 words. Remove every name, address, identifier, and personal detail.

2

Write Task 2 fresh

Use an original survey prompt, normal timing, and 150–200 words. Do not use recalled, leaked, predicted, or live test content.

3

Carry one correction forward

Name one visible pattern, repair it in both tasks, then test the same correction on new prompts. Improvement is the transfer of the correction—not a practice number alone.

04A

Choose the next step by your current decision

  • If you are still deciding about re-evaluation, read the official-options decision checklist.
  • If you need private surface signals first, use the free local pair check; it uploads no writing and predicts no score.
  • If you need live teaching, detailed explanations, or broad language development, choose a credentialed instructor.

04B

The paid audit has a narrower gate

  • You already have an official Writing 8.
  • You reviewed the official re-evaluation options.
  • You already decided or booked a retake.
  • You can answer the two fixed original Task 1 + Task 2 prompt IDs supplied after purchase.

If any of these is false, do not buy the pair audit yet.

START WITHOUT UPLOADING

Use the free local pair check

It checks the disclosed 150–200-word range and a small set of transparent surface patterns in your current browser. It does not store the responses or estimate a level.

RETAKE ALREADY DECIDED

Inspect the complete pair-audit example

The US$14.99 audit returns exactly three cross-task priorities, two paragraph repairs, and a seven-day plan within 48 hours after both responses to the supplied original prompt IDs are valid. It does not predict a level.

Questions about AI scoring and a Writing 8

1

Is an AI CELPIP Writing score an official level?

No. An independent AI score is a practice signal. Only the official CELPIP process determines an official Writing level.

2

What can AI feedback check reliably enough for practice?

It can point to visible features such as missing task requirements, repetition, long sentences, weak paragraph boundaries, or unclear transitions. It cannot prove the level an official response will receive.

3

Why compare Task 1 and Task 2 instead of scoring one response again?

A fresh pair helps you see whether the same observable problem transfers from the email to the survey response instead of belonging to only one prompt.

4

When does the paid pair audit fit?

It fits only after you have an official Writing 8, reviewed the official re-evaluation options, already decided or booked a retake, and can answer the two original anonymous Task 1 and Task 2 prompt IDs supplied in the quick start.

06

Make the next response falsify the old problem

A useful correction can be named, found in the draft, repaired, and tested again. If the next two tasks still show it, you have a real practice target. If they do not, move to the next visible pattern.
